Overview
The MURAF will be based on a military platform. For the fire-fighting application, a 6,000 litre tank will be placed on the platform and an advanced water monitor will be fitted. This vehicle has a number of advantages over existing fire-fighting equipment, in fact it represents a leap forward in fire-fighting capability and safety over anything available now.
Our product offers significant points of difference that will ensure our competiveness into the futur

Wildfire Challenges
Existing trucks have limited ability to move over rough terrain.
Fire trucks require a large turning circle, that is they are restricted in the areas they can enter.
Fire trucks must remain at a safe distance from the fire, with crews running hoses to the fire front.
Even the latest bushfire trucks provide only limited protection from burnover events.
DCM Design believes these problems can be overcome with a tracked fire-fighting vehicle. The MURAF is a significant step forward in capability and will change the methodology for fighting bushfires.
